The adapter is the Edimax Dual Band AC1200.It costs $25 (it’s $20 on Amazon at the time of this writing). As an adapter, it’s fine. It supports 802.11n and 802.11ac, has speeds up to 866Mbps. The devolo WiFi Stick ac is an ultra-compact WLAN adapter that upgrades your laptop, PC or MAC to the latest WLAN standards in no time at all. Thanks to its compact, minimalist design, the tiny devolo WiFi Stick ac blends in unobtrusively with any laptop or Apple MacBook (except Mac OS X 10.13). I have a WiFi USB RTL8188CUS, that i had working in Yosemite 10.10 using a 10.9 pkg. But as far as i can tell 10.11 El Capitan was the last driver support for the card, and doesnt work in 10.13.1. The wifi utility wont open to connect to a network. Is there a possible way to get this card working, or do i need to buy a new wifi.
